A mobile court of Chittagong District Administration yesterday sentenced an alleged drug trader to six months of imprisonment. Ashraful Alam, executive magistrate of Chittagong District Administration, awarded Akkas Ali, 35, a listed drug trader and an alleged dacoit of Bakalia area under city’s Bakalia thana six months’ imprisonment for selling drugs illegally.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bakalia thana Mohammad Mohsin said police arrested Akkas Ali with 11 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from Shah Amanat bridge area under city’s Bakalia thana around 11-45am and produced him before a mobile court.
