RAB-15 of Ukhiya Upazila has arrested a drug trader with 10,485 pieces of yaba worth Tk 5 million during a raid in Jamtoli area of Ukhiya Uapazila of Cox’s Bazar on Monday night.
The arrested drug dealer Md Raihan (19) is the son of Abul Kalam and Halima Begum of Naitya Para in ward no-1 of Teknaf municipality.
Major Mohammad Rabiul Islam, on behalf of the RAB-15 company superintendent of Cox’s Bazar, said in a mail message that the RAB was informed by a secret news that some drug trader were selling drugs sale on Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf road in front of the Jamtali Cemetery in Ukhiya Upazila.
According to the news, on Monday night, at 9:15 pm, an RAB-15 operation team arrested drug dealer Md Raihan.Later, a total of 10,485Yaba tablets were recovered by searching a bag held by the accused in front of the witnesses. Whose market value is Tk 52,42,500.
