A drug trader named Md. Tarikul Sardar (38) was arrested along a huge quantity of Yaba pills, cash Taka, mobile sets and sim cards by a contingent of RAB-6 (Khulna) from Sonapura Madhyam Para village under Mollahat Upazila in Bagerhat district at Monday night, according to a press release issued by the RAB-6 on Tuesday at 2 pm.
It is stated in the press release that acting on secret information the RAB contingent raided the village at Monday night and arrested the drug trader Md. Tarikul Sardar from the in front of a dwelling house belonging to one Kuddus Molla of the village. Later the RAB recovered one (1) thousand 5 hundred 20 Yaaaba pills; cash Tk.3 lakh 6 thousand, 3 mobile sets and 5 sim cards from his possession. The RAB also recovered Tk.62 thousand from his Bkash account through one of the 5 seized sim cards. It is also stated in the press release that the arrested drug trader had been doing his drug business in the various places secretly for long.
In this connection a case was registered with Mollahat PS against the drug trader under Narcotic Act.
