A Barishal court on Tuesday noon sentenced one Miraj Haoladar, a drug peddler, to life term imprisonment and fined him Tk 20 thousand or to serve more one year in jail in default.
A K M Shahid Ahmed, judge of the tribunal for preventing crime against public safety, handed down the judgment after examining nine witnesses and other evidences.
Court sources said accused Miraj Haoladar was arrested from Marokkhola Pol area under Kotwali police station with 83 bottles of Phensidyl on December 21, 2012.
