A drug-addict maternal uncle slaughtered his own nephew in broad daylight at a market in Chakaria upazila headquarters of the district on Thursday afternoon. Locals caught the alleged uncle and handed him over to the police.
The deceased was identified as Md Parvez Uddin, son of Sahab Uddin of Bhangarmukh Pukpukuria Rajdhanipara area under No. 9 Ward in Chakaria Municipality. Eyewitness and the victim’s family members said the marriage of Parvez was scheduled on June 15 next. In this connection, he along with his mother Monowara Begum and brothers and sisters went to a shop Paristhan Cloth Store at Samabay Market.
