A mobile court here on Wednesday sentenced a drug addict to three-month imprisonment.
The convict is Momoshwar Ali, 40, son of late Mohorom Ali of the upazila.Local sources said Fateha Begum lodged a written complaint against his brother Momoshwar with Jagannathpur Police Station for torturing her.
Following the complaint, Jagannathpur police arrested Momoshwar on Tuesday while he was taking drugs at his house in Jagannathpur municipal town.
Later, he was produced before the court led by the Jagannatpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Humayun Kabir on Wednesday afternoon which handed down the punishment to the drug addict.
