Mushfiqur Rahman of Diganta Television emerged the champion of the Badminton Competition of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Annual Sports Competition when he beat Shawkat Ali Khan Litho of the Daily Sun by 1-0 set in the final at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium on Thursday.
Shawkat Ali Khan Litho became runner-up while Kamal Hossain Talukder of BD News24.com finished third.
Former player of Bangladesh National Badminton team and Coach Zahidul Haque Kochi conducted the tournament.
Vice-President of DRU Rafiqul Islam Azad, Sports Secretary of DRU Badrul Alam Chowdhury Khokon, Executive Member of DRU Md Main Uddin Khan, former sports secretaries of DRU Rafiqul Islam and AKM Kamruzzaman Hiru witnessed the matches.
A number of 30 players took part in the competition.
