Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Annual Sports Competition begins today at the Sagor-Runi Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder will inaugurate the sports meet today at 3.00 pm as the chief guest.
About 400 participants (men and women) will take part in the 13 events of the indoor competitions.
Men’s event: Archery, Marathon, Chess, Shooting, Swimming, Badminton (singles), Table Tennis (singles), Carrom (singles) and Bridge.
Women’s event: Shooting, Carrom (singles), Mini Marathon and Chess.
Auction Bridge will be held at the DRU Games Room on September 11 from 12.00 noon, Table Tennis will be taken place at the Wooden Floor Gymnasium on September 13 from 11.00 am, Shooting (Men’s and Women’s) will be held at the Wooden Floor Gymnasium on September 14 from 11.00 am and Badminton will be taken place at the Wooden Floor Gymnasium on September 15 from 11.00 am.
