The annual family sports festival of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) will begin on Friday at Ivy Rahman Swimming Pool at Bangabandhu National Stadium premises.
Family members, including wife, husband and children, of the DRU members will take part in the festival in respective groups.
Acting Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Ashiqur Rahman Miku will inaugurate the two-day festival on Friday the morning.
Deputy Secretary General of BOA Asaduzzaman Kohinoor will also present as special guest at the function to be chaired by DRU President Shahkawat Hossain Badsha.
Swimming competitions for the husband of female members and the different age group competitions for the members’ children is likely to be held on the opening day (Friday).
On the following day (Saturday), 100 and 200 meters run for member children, 200-meter run and pillow passing for member’s wife and 200-meter run for the husband of female members will be held.
