A battery-run- autobike driver was killed and his two passengers got injuries as his vehicle he was driving suddenly turned turtle beside Amjad Ali Road in Purbo Jafrabad village under Chandpur Sadar at around noon on Saturday. Seeing the accident, locals came forward and brought out the seriously injured auto driver Raju (15) from under the autobike and rushed him to Chandpur General Hospital where the on duty doctor declared him dead at around 12 noon.
The deceased Raju was identified as the son of Faruque Sheikh of the same village. His two injured passengers- Saiful (13) and Badhon (12) were treated in a local clinic. Contacted , Sub Inspector of Chandpur Sadar Model Thana Shadhon Chadranath has told the New Nation that his body was taken to the Thana premises from General Hospital for post mortem.
OC Md Nasimuddin has said, legal steps are being taken in this regard.
