The decision was taken in the DSCC’s coordination committee meeting on Sunday.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (traffic), Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and Department of Environment will help the DSCC in this regard.
Mobile courts will wait for taking legal action at several key points in the city during the month long drive, DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon said.
Alongside, the DSCC will propel another drive against illegal rickshaws soon, the mayor said.
The authorities also will start a drive against illegal encroaching in front of shops and buildings from December, said RAJUK Chairman Abdur Rahman, who was also present in the meeting.

According to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA), nearly 4000 rundown buses and minibuses and about 8,125 trucks are plying the city roads endangering public safety. However, waves of mixed reaction sweep the working class with the announcement of the decision. They said that it was just eye-wash.
Abul Kalam Azad, a businessman of Gulistan area, said the owners of unfit buses will hide their vehicles during the drive and will being back at their convenient.
“The government has failed to stop plying the unfit buses. It is not possible without cooperation of bus and rickshaw owners,” he said.
Helal Uddin, another businessman of Mirpur area, told The New Nation that the government should take stern action against the unfit buses. “Damage the unfit buses absoluterly, don’t return it to the owners,” he said.
