The draw ceremony of the Sailor BFF National Under-15 Football Championship was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Wednesday.
Dhaka district team will take on Jessore district team in the inaugural match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on August 23 at 3.30 pm while Narayanganj district team will meet Thakurgaon district team at the Abahani Ground on the same day at 3.30 pm.
Chairman of the Development Committee of BFF and Vice-President of BFF Badal Roy, Director of Epyllion Group Md Zunaid Abu Saleh Musa, Secretary of the Tournament Committee Satyajit Das Rupu, Deputy Chairman of the Development Committee of BFF Fazlur Rahman Babul, Member of BFF Hasanuzzaman Khan Bablu were present at the occasion, among others.
A total of eight teams qualified for the final round. Eight teams splitting into two groups are taking part in the final round. All the matches of the final round will be held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium and Abahani Ground.
The 11-day long final round will come to an end on September 2.
Dhaka, Narayanganj, Thkurgaon, Jessore have been billed in Group A while Sylhet, Barisal, Feni, Natore have been taken place in Group B.
Two top teams from each group will play in the semifinals.
The winners of the two semifinals will face each other in the final.
The champions will be awarded Tk 2,00,000 while the runners-up will be given Tk I,00,000 as prize-money.
