A nine daylong ‘Drama Festival- 2017’ organised by Jahangirnagar Theater began on Friday and to be continued till February 11.
Prof Afsar Ahmed of Drama and Dramatics Department inaugurated the festival in front of JU Amar Ekushe sculpture by releasing balloons while, a colorful procession with the participation of prominent cultural activists and dramatists as well as general students brought out and paraded different streets on the campus.
Later, they also placed floral wreath at the tomb of Prominent Dramatist Selim Al Dean.
The fest will be included with inaugural events, rally, poster exhibition, drama staging, reunion and ending session.
A total of 5 dramas will stage within this 9 days in every evening at Selim Al Deen Muktamancha (Open Air Theater).
