Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu on Sunday said the draft of the National Broadcasting Policy-2014 has been finalised.
“The draft National Broadcasting Policy-2014 is ready and it’ll be sent to the Cabinet soon for its approval,” he told reporters after a meeting on the policy in his ministry.
The minister said the policy is aimed at ensuring the free flow of information by giving priority to people’s basic rights. Information Secretary Murtaza Ahmed and Prime Minister’s Media Adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury were, among others, present at the meeting.
