The Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments filed a case against Grameen Communications Chairman Nobel Laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus on charge of violating rules under the Labour Law.
Inspector of the Department Tariqul Islam filed the case against Yunus and three others with Third Labour Court of Dhaka on January 5, Tariqul Islam told newsmen on Wednesday.
The other accused in the case are Grameen Communications Managing Director Naznin Sultana, Director Abdul Hye Khan and General Manager Gowri Sankar.
According to the case statement, Inspector of the Department Tariqul Islam visited Grameen Communications office on October 10, last year and found irregularities and violation of Labour rules.
The case was filed under the Bangladesh Labour Act (amendment) 2013.
