The Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishment has filed a criminal case against Grameen Telecom Chairman and Nobel Laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus and three others for violating labour laws.
SM Arifuzzaman, labour inspector of the department, filed the case with the Dhaka Labour Court on Thursday. Dhaka Third Labour Court Bench Clerk Jamal Uddin confirmed the matter to media on Sunday.
The other accused in the case are Grameen Telecom Managing Director Md Ashraful Hasan, board directors Nur Jahan Begum and Md Shahjahan.
