German Prof Dr Thomas W Vahlencamp, director of Institute of Virology of University of Leipzig, is selected for the ‘Bangladesh Society for Veterinary Education and Research (BSVER) annual lecture award’ for the year 2017.
In the conference Prof Dr Vahlencamp will deliver a lecture on ‘Analysis of High and Low Pathogenic Avian Influenza Outbreak’.
BSVER executive body stated the announcement in a press
He will be awarded today at the inaugural ceremony of a two-day long 23rd BSVER Annual Scientific Conference, held on the Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) campus.
BAU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Ali Akbar will inaugurate the conference as chief guest.
Food and Agriculture Organization will arrange a symposium titled ‘Preparedness for the Control of Animal Disease’, the symposium of this year.
Total 106 scientific papers and posters will be presented during the conference.
About 400 veterinary academician, researchers and practitioners from home and abroad will participate in the conference.
