Professor Dr. Tahmina Banu, Director, Chattogram Research Institute for Children Surgery and Former Head, Pediatric Surgery Department, Chattogram, has been awarded Prof Quazi Quamruzzaman Best Pediatric Surgeon Gold Medal in 2019.
Association of Pediatric Surgeon of Bangladesh (APSB) awarded this Gold medal in its 8th annual conference held on Sunday at Hotel Sonargaon in the city.
This award is named after Professor Quazi Quamruzzaman , the founder of the APSB, freedom fighter and the Chairman of Dhaka Community Hospital Trust is given to the best pediatric surgeon by APSB every year.
The chief guest of the conference was the Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque, special guest was Prof Kanak Kanti Barua, Vice- Chancellor, BSMMU and with Prof Abdul Aziz, President of APSB in the chiair.
The function was also addressed, among others, by Prof. Mirza Kamrul Zahid, Joint Secretary, APSB and Prof Abdul Hanif Tablu.
