Former Secretary to the government of Bangladesh Dr. Shelina Afroza recently joined as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jiban Bima Corporation, said a press release.
Dr. Shelina had a very distinguished career of more than three decades as member of Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration), the press release said.
In the recent years (2013-2015) she served as Secretary, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.
Besides, she also had diplomatic assignments in Bangladesh Embassy in Moscow and High Commission in Ottawa.
Dr. Shelina pursued her PhD in Public Administration in The University of Karachi (2005-2009); MPhil in The University of Calcutta (1995-1996). She did her Masters and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History from Dhaka University.
Dr. Shelina Afroza joined in BCS (Administration) in 1982 (Special). During the long but eventful career, she enjoyed the exposure of national, regional and global issues and Challenges at home and abroad.
She is wife of former Ambassador Md Abdul Hannan and mother of two sons.
