Dr. Salam made BAEC Member

Dr. Engr. Md. Abdus Salam has been appointed as the Member Engineering (Current charge) of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission by a government order issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology recently, said a press release.
Dr. Salam obtained his B.Sc. Engineering (Mechanical) degree from Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (former BIT, Dhaka) in 1989. Later he received his M.Phil Degree in Physics and Ph.D Degree in Nuclear Reactor Safety from Jahangirnagar University.
Dr. Salam joined BAEC in 1981 and promoted as Chief Engineer in 2011. Throughout his carrier in BAEC, he served in the Construction, Operation and Maintenance of 3 MW Research Reactor in Atomic Energy Research Establishment (AERE), Savar. Before his joining as Member Engineering, Dr. Salam served as Director of Centre for Research Reactor of AERE and Director Engineering Division, BAEC. He has more than 30 years working experience on nuclear research reactor operation, maintenance and safety management.
Dr. Salam has participated in various Fellowship Programs, Training and International Conferences organized by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and other international organizations held in Japan, USA, Australia, Austria, Russia, South Korea, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, China and Vietnam.
