Eminent Educationist, Sociologist and Disaster Management Specialist Prof Dr Khondokar Mokaddam Hossain Re-appointed as Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Bangladesh Open University (BOU).
Chancellor of the University and Honorable President of the Country appointed Prof Dr Mokaddam on last Monday in accordance of the university act 1992 under the clause of 14(1) for the next four years.
Earlier Prof Dr Mokaddam joins BOU as Pro-Vice Chancellor on 23rd September, 2012.
Prof Mokaddam achieved Honours and Masters Degree in Sociology from Dhaka University. Again he obtained Masters of Social Science degree in Demography from Dhaka University. He also achieved his PhD from Massey University, Newzealand. Prof Mokaddam was a founder Driector of Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies, Dhaka University.
Educationist Prof Mokaddam Hossain is involved in many publications and research papers. Meanwhile significant number of publications and research papers of Professor Hossain have been displayed. He has also written a number of books and articles on Environmental Sociology and Disaster Management.
Prof Mokaddam was born in Pabna. Mahbuba Nasrin, Professor of Sociology, Dhaka University is his beloved wife and he has one son.
