Eastern University (EU) appoints Prof Dr Mohit Ul Alam as the Vice Chancellor (Designate). Prof Alam has long outstanding career of 40 years in teaching, research and academic administration in various reputed public and private universities.
He was the former Vice Chancellor of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, former Dean and Head of the Faculty of Arts of ULAB, founding Chairman of the Department of English of Premier University, and former Chairman of the Department of English of Chittagong University.
He is a notable writer and columnist with more than 40 books to his credit.
