Eminent educationist, research scholar Dr MA Mannan joined the Bangladesh Open University on Friday as Vice-Chancellor on second term. President and Chancellor of the University appoint him for the next four years. Dr MA Mannan paid thanks and gratitude to the President Md. Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Education Minister for his next tenure. He also expect co-operation from the concern to run Academic and Administrative activities of the University.
Earlier Dr Mannan was appointed as Vice-Chancellor of University on 24 March-2013. Prior to that he was a professor of the Management Studies, Dhaka University. Dr Mannan made a change in the University Academic Programme using information and communication technology in his first tenure.
Enhancing number of academic programme, infrastructure development, arranging successful two convocation and national and international collaboration on Open and Distance Learning was also his outstanding achievement during this time.
