“Rhythm”, a set of photographs by Prof Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Chief Information Commissioner of Bangladesh showcased in an exhibition inaugurated on last Thursday at the DIU auditorium.
Featuring scintillating images of exuberant and vibrant life, these memorable photographs Dr Rahman captured through the lens over the last one decade transcend language, culture, and geography. His beautiful images will make you pause, think, and, perhaps see life in a new way.
Rhythm has been jointly organized by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication and DIU Photographic Society to celebrate the five-year journey of Daffodil International University Photographic Society.
Dr Rahman is presently the Chief Information Commissioner of Information Commission, Bangladesh. He is an internationally renowned communication expert and the former Pro-VC of Daffodil International University.
Matiur Rahman, editor of the Prothom Alo, was present as the Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony. Chairman of Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University Md. Sabur Khan presided over the ceremony. The program was also addressed among others by Prof Dr AMM Hamidur Rahman, Dean Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Prof Dr Engr AKM Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Student Affairs), Saleem Ahmed, Head of Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of DIU, SM Abdur Razzaque, Convener and Zaeem Bin Tashdeed, President, DIU Photographic Society.
Addressing as the chief guest, Matiur Rahman, Editor of the Prothom Alo said, there are some hidden virtue and possibilities among all which should be given proper platform and exposure. He said, nowadays many armature photographers are also taking good quality pictures and value of a good photograph is very high in a newspaper.
Inspiring the young generation he said, Youth are the dependable and youth are the future of the nation. So, we will have to find out good deeds and young generation should be inspired and engaged with those good deeds.
