Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman has been elected new chairman of Asian Clearing Union (ACU) at its board meeting here on Saturday.
Bangladesh is hosting the 44th ACU Board meeting here in Dhaka. Dr Rahman has replaced his predecessor Valiollah Seif, governor of the Central Bank of Iran.
After being elected the new chairman, he thanked all other members and representatives of the ACU.
