Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain joined as the new Vice-Chancellor of Northern University Bangladesh.
He has also been working as acting VC of the university since 15 November 2016, said a press release.
Earlier, Professor Anwar was the VC of southeast University and acting VC of Presidency University.
He also served as the provost of Surya Sen Hall of Dhaka University. He performed as the Dean of the Business faculty of the American international University of Bangladesh since 2003 and Pro-VC from February 2008 to June 2011.
He was professor and Director of IBA at Dhaka University.
During his professional life he held a number of top academic positions where his contributions stand out distinctly.
