Under the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Scheme, 10 students and one teacher from DPS STS School visited Les Elfes Verbier, Switzerland started from the 13 June to 20 June’ 2015.
The Bronze Scheme under the Duke of Edinburgh Programme includes the following activities: Striking Camp, Equipment Allocation, Equipment Care, Tent Building and Stove Challenges, Hiking and Orienteering Training, Expedition, Hiking/Walking, Adventure (High Ropes Course), Group Orienteering, visiting at Campsite Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Swimming, Group Assessment Presentations, Rucksack Packing and Weighing, Food Challenge, Pitch Tents and Prepare Dinner, Debriefing, Souvenir Shopping and Sightseeing and attending the Award Ceremony, Dinner at Les Elfes, Swiss Fondue Night at Les Elfes.
The students returned exhilarated and rejuvenated from this educational and life-skills building adventure.
