Doyce vale academy of Germany will extend its support to Department of Mass communication and Journalism of Rajshahi University (RU) for its further development.
South Asian Regional Coordinator of the Academy Priya Eslborn revealed this while paying a courtesy call on RU Vice-chancellor Prof Md Mijanuddin at the latter’s office here today.
The academy will continue the support for three more years after ending the first phase of the project by this year-end, she added.
Doyce vale academy in Germany has been extending financial support to the project since 2014.
Various promotional works like modernization of course curriculum, improvement of teaching method, special training for the students and operating course for the professionals and other users for improving their efficiency are being done under the project, said the meeting sources.
Department Chairman Dr Prodip Kumar Panday and Associate Professor Moshihur Rahman were present at the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Mijanuddin said students of the department are working in different institutions including media houses at both home and abroad efficiently, and it is the result of time-fitting and standard teaching and course curriculum.
He hoped that capacity and competency of both students and teachers would be further improved through the academy’s project activities.
