Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury inaugurated the newly built dormitory 1, 2 in the city Khamarbari area for security personnel who are serving duty in JS Bhaban and surrounding areas and employees of Public Works Department (PWD).
JS Deputy Speaker Advocate Md. Shamsul Haque Tuku and Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury addressed it as special guests.
At the outset of the programme, Dr Shirin formally inaugurated the dormitory on Friday by cutting a ribbon, reports BSS.
JS Secretariat Additional Secretary Md Nuruzzaman chaired it while Whip Iqbalur Rahim and Housing and Public Works Secretary Shahid Ullah Khandaker, lawmakers Md Saifuzzaman, Nahid Ijahar Khan and Nargis Rahman addressed the function, among others.
