Awami League general secretary and minister without portfolio Syed Ashraful Islam on Thursday urged BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia to stop spreading lies while fasting.
“I call upon Begum Khaleda Zia to stop spreading lies while observing fast. Come to the path of peace. Stop arson attacks,” he said while addressing an Iftar party arranged by
Jubo League at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital.
Ashraf, who was made minister without portfolio after being relieved from the LGRD and Cooperatives Ministry on Thursday afternoon, asked the BNP chief to shun the path of deceptive politics. “Ensure that no one is killed in political violence anymore in Bangladesh.”
