Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has called upon the people to maintain personal hygiene as per the direction of the government instead of paying heed to any rumour to prevent the coronavirus.
He gave the call at a press conference at Awami League president’s Dhanmondi political office on Sunday.
Quader said, the government’s short and long-term programs to prevent coronavirus will continue.
“Remain alert, but don’t pay heed to any rumour. At this time, we all must stand beside the helpless people. Everyone should move forward and maintain the personal hygiene to contain the coronavirus,” he said.
Meanwhile, no new coronavirus case was detected in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours till Sunday, said the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).
