BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has urged Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to immediately release BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia without depriving her of medical treatment and doing her no harm.
He said this at a briefing following a protest rally on Monday in the capital, demanding unconditional release of Khaleda Zia.
Rizvi said, “Khaleda Zia’s physical condition is gradually going down. The government is trying to deceive with people showing Khaleda Zia’s health condition normal.”‘
“The people have now become helpless following the price hike of essential commodities. The government actually has failed to run the country,” he said.
A large number leaders and activists, including Dhaka district BNP General Secretary Abu Ashfaq, Narayanganj district BNP Vice President Mahmudur Rahman Suman, Chhatra Dal leader Kamruzzaman Jewel and Jubo Dal leader Sohail participated in the protest rally.
