Sports Reporter :
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will extend the contract of Head Coach Russell Domingo for more years.
A number of eight foreign coaches are working with the BCB to develop the performance of Bangladesh Cricket players. The BCB has spent a lot of money for the foreign coaches. But the cricket lovers of the country think the coaches cannot give such contribution for the development of Bangladesh’s cricket.
Tigers’ Head Coach Russell Domingo also failed to give such kind of contribution that Bangladesh team will go to the peak of success. All over performance of Bangladesh Cricket team is not up to the mark.
Recently the journalists asked the BCB President Nazmul Hassan Papon if BCB will extend the contract of Domingo.
Papon said, “There was contract between Domingo and BCB that Domingo will act as the Head Coach until ICC World Cup T20, which is scheduled to held in United Arab Emirates in October. After the World Cup T20 the contract of Russell Domingo may be increased. But the matter is yet to be finalised.”
He said, ” We have not taken final decision about Head Coach Russell Domingo. His contract is at the end of World T20. So, there is no crisis about a coach of Bangladesh team. There is every possibility to extend his contract. But we have not yet disclosed this matter to him. We have talked to some persons. We shall talk to others. After that We shall take the final decision about Russell Domingo.”
He also said they would consider about Domigo for one year. There are two ICC World Cups in front of them. After ending the World Cups, they will discuss among them. Then they will take the final decision.
