A minor domestic help committed suicide by taking poison at West Malibagh area in the city under Ramna Police Station on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Taslima (10), daughter of Mohammad Bakul, from Dinajpur.
Sources said Taslima and her sister Bobby used to live at the houses of Mohammad Bin Jahir at House No- 24/2 in West Malibagh.
On Wednesday night Taslima was locked in a quarrel with her sister for a trifling matter. At one stage of their altercation, Taslima took poison and died instantly. She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the doctors declared her dead.
In charge of DMCH police outpost, Muzammel Haque said, tenant of the house Mohammad Bin Jahir and his wife have been taken to Ramna Police Station for interrogation in this connection.
