We know cat is a very lovely and pleasant animal. It is cute and useful too. Children like cats very much. It plays with children and gives them pleasure and cat is such an animal that it is pro-environment and has a strong sense of sanitation. Everybody knows that cats are used to cover up it excretion after defecation. Many of us take cat as pet in our house. Some of the cats are very lucky that they get love, care and proper attention from the people where they live. Especially children in a house are generally very much fond of cat. They watch/observe cat and play with them and give them space on their bed. Many children like sleeping with cat in their beds and cats are also very much fond of soft bed.
The general characteristic of cat is to catch mouse in the house where they live. So mice get always frightened for cat in the house if cats understand mice’s presence in the place where it roams. There are many fables and tales we hear about cats in our society. And these tales and fables are very much familiar in our society. One such story is that cat is the Aunt of tigers. Sometimes, it is also told that cat is not faithful to their masters like dogs and it always tries to steal food of its likings bypassing their masters
In the developed countries pet training is a profession and many people opt as pet-trainer as their career. The demand and scope of cat training is limited than that of dogs. Dog trainer is a recognized profession in developed countries and as well as cat trainer also. In recent time we can see such type of trained cats in the videos of YouTube channel. People get amused to enjoy those videos in You Tube channel. So far we know there are no professional cat trainers in our country but the necessity of cat trainer will be felt in the days to come.
In the rural areas cat are being petted by the people traditionally. Especially, children of that particular family are the playmates and friends of cats they petted. It is true that not all the members of a family are attentive and positive to the cats. There are some members who always try to beat or to hurt cats with sticks and drive them away. But children in general are very much positive to the cat. They feed the cat and take care of them. Sometimes, they also play with them.
Many of us think that pet animal can read the mind of those who care them. For that reason they want to be associated with their caring masters/ owners. Pet feels very lonely if their masters/owners are out of the house and out of their sight. That time they look sullen and lonely. So cat owners/lovers should try to understand the psyche of the cat. Pet cannot talk to the person but with their behavioral pattern/ attitude and different sounds they try to tell their sorrow and happiness.
But there are stories of the other side also. We see many cats wander different streets and lane areas in the cities and town for want of food. They are ill health and in need of nutrition. They just live on food from the dustbins and food thrown by the children from the window of their houses. This is a reality but in the village area this is not a common picture. Only in the bazars in rural areas cats are seen wandering for want of food. We know cat is a wonderful domestic pet and one of the creatures of the Almighty. They have every right to live in this world. It is such a wonderful pet that it can give amusement to children and by various caricatures they can give enjoyment to the people and relieve tensions of many who suffer a lot from many problems and complications.
So for ecological balance and a beautiful environment, animal lovers should come forward for the betterment of the cats. They should take some programmes for the attention of the appropriate authorities for the cats’ welfare in our country. If that happens, soon we will see an improved condition of wandering cats in bazaars and streets and lane areas in our country and the people who are facing tensions might get relieved of many troubles. So love cats, they have the ability and potentiality to relieve tension of many by their charming activities. They deserve more care and attention from society.
