Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club dominated the top of the points table with an overwhelming eight-wicket victory over Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League held on Saturday at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah, Narayanganj.
With the day’s win, Prime Doleshwar remained unbeaten in three games.
Medium-pacer Farhad Reza caused the major damage for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club after they were forced to bat. They were eventually bowled out in a paltry total of 99 in 27.1 overs.
Farhad took the wickets of Joyraz Sheik, Nazmus Sadat, Mahmudullah and Sohag Gazi while left-arm spinner Sunzamul Islam supported him taking three wickets. Al-Amin Hossain also contributed with two early wickets.
Angelo Perera (33) and Mahmudullah (24) were the only batsmen to manage a double-digit figure.
Offspinner Gazi removed opener Imtiaz Hossain off the first ball of the innings but Prime Doleshwar romped to the target in 20.1 overs with Raqibul Hasan (53 n.o) and Chamara Silva (27 n.o) contributed an unbeaten 65-run stand.
