Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League: Doleshwar beat MSC

An all-round performance by Dawid Milan saw Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club to record their fourth win in the Walton Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League upsetting Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited by 32 runs in their seventh round match held on Sunday at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
Chasing Prime Doleshwar’s 217 runs target, Mohammedan faced serious batting debacle and finally dismissed at 184 in 48.1 overs.
The Doleshwar’s bowlers threatened early inroad on Mohammedan innings removing their three top orders batsmen in the 45 runs of the scoreboard.
M Mithun top scored with 48 runs while number seven batsman Ariful Haque added 37 as the Mohammedan failed to build any effective partnership losing wickets in regular intervals in the face of tight bowling attacks by the Doleshwar bowlers.
Dawid Milan grabbed three wickets for 22 runs while Habibur Rahman and Delwar Hossain captured two wickets apiece conceding 19 and 27 runs respectively. Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club scored a decent total of 216 for 8 from their allotted 50 overs.
Opener Mehedi Maruf and Ronny Talukder added 85 runs for the second wicket stand after Doleshar lost their another opener Mizanur Rahmany early.
Maruf contributed a priceless 56 runs while Rony supported him with 34 runs.
Dawid Milan, after his impressive bowling performance, contributed 45 runs and later adjudged the player of the match for his all round show on the day. Sanjamul Islam was the other batsman to remain unbeaten with 27runs for Doleshwar.
Rahmat Shah was the pick of Mohammedan bowler taking three wickets for 38 runs.
