Department of Environment (DoE) realized Taka 1.30 lakh as fine from four brickfield owners in Banoripara Upazila of the district on Monday.
The brickfields are- M/S Tazem bricks, M/S Malek bricks, M/S Nur bricks and M/S Kalam bricks in South Baishari area of the upazila.
The DoE team led by DoE divisional director Sukumar Biswas realized the fine from the brickfields on charges of polluting environment and for running the brickfields in traditional system.
