Awami League presidium member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim said the doctors should play a prominent role in ensuring health services to the commoners.
“The government has been working to ensure health services to a large population of the country with its limited resources. Doctors have a prominent role to ensure continuation of this standard in the health sector,” he said.
Mohammad Nasim said this on Tuesday while speaking as the chief guest at the discussion followed by an Iftar party organised by the Swadhinata Chikitshak Parishad (SCP) at the Officers’ Club in the city.

Portraying a vivid picturesque of development in the country, the minister said, “We are working relentlessly to reach health services to the doorsteps of common people, particularly to those poor. There will be no compromise on the matter.”
He said the country has been marching ahead under the courageous and farsighted leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangladesh would be transformed into a middle income state within a shortest possible time.
