The Ruling Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said that the physicians of BNP Chief Khaleda Zia are not saying what the party leaders are saying about her health.
The Road Transport and Bridges Minister said it while talking to reporters at the Secretariat
on Thursday, suggesting to wait for Khaleda Zia’s doctors’ report before drawing any conclusion.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been informed of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s health condition. “She (PM) didn’t give any message yet in this regard,” he said.
Quader said that BNP MP Harunur Rashid met him on Wednesday and informed him about his party chief’s illness.
“He requested me to convey her illness to the Prime Minister and I did so,” the Minister said.
BNP MP Harun met Khaleda at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on Tuesday evening and said she needs better treatment immediately in any specialised hospital abroad.
He said, the former Prime Minister, who has been in jail since February last year, was willing to go abroad for treatment if she is granted bail.
