Doa Mahfil held marking 71st founding anniv of AL

Bangladesh Awami League (AL), one of the country’s oldest political parties which led the country’s liberation War, organized a Doa Mahfil on Tuesday marking the party’s 71st founding anniversary.
The Doa Mahfil was held at party President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s political office in the city’s Dhanmondi area in the afternoon.
In the Doa Mahfil, a munajat was offered seeking eternal peace of departed souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other martyrs of 1975 carnage, four national leaders, 1971 martyrs, martyrs of different movements and struggles, and those AL leaders who died of coronavirus infection.
Healthy and long life of Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister and AL President Sheikh Hasina and his (Bangabandhu) family members was also sought in the munajat.
Awami League Presidium Members Begum Matia Chowdhury, Jahangir Kabir Nanak and Abdur Rahman, Joint General Secretaries Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud and AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Organizing Secretaries Ahmed Hossain, S M Kamal Hossain and Mirza Azam were present, among others, at the Doa Mahfil.
AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader also joined the the programme through video conferencing from his residence.
