A Milad and Doa Mahfil was held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Jum’a prayers on Friday, seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh M Abdullah, noted politicians and others who died from coronavirus infection.
Islamic Foundation Bangladesh organized the milad and doa mahfil, said an official press release here.
The devotees prayed to the almighty Allah for quick relief from the deadly Covid-19 which has now gripped the whole world, including Bangladesh.
Besides, Qurankhwani was also held at the south plaza of the Baitul Mukarram Mosque on Friday morning for eternal peace of the departed soul of State Minister for Religious Affairs.
Qurankhwani, milad and doa-mahfils were held after the Juma prayers at different mosques across the country, including 82,000 centers under the mosque-based Children and Mass education programme run by the Islamic Foundation Bangladesh at 492 upazilas of 64 districts.
