Doa Mahfil held for late leaders of Awami League

The ruling Awami League (AL) held Doa Mahfil seeking peace of departed souls of the party leaders who died of coronavirus infection and other ailments recently. The Doa Mahfil was held on Friday at the party President’s Dhanmondi political office for AL Presidium member, former Health Minister and 14-party alliance spokesperson Mohammed Nasim, Religious Affairs Minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, Sylhet City Corporation former Mayor Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran, former lawmaker Makbul Hossain and other late leaders.
Ailing AL Presidium member Advocate Sahara Khatun’s early recovery was also wished during the prayers.
AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader joined it online from his residence.
AL Presidium members Begum Matia Chowdhury, Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Information Minister and AL Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud, Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Organizing Secretaries Mirza Azam, SM Kamal Hossain and Sakhawat Hossain Shafiq, Deputy Office Secretary Sayem Khan, Central Working Committee member Sahabuddin Farazi and Dhaka City unit AL General Secretary Humayun Kabir were present on the occasion, among others.
