A Doa Mahfil was held at Ganobhaban, official residence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, after Asr prayers on Sunday on the occasion of her 68th birthday.
PM’s personal staff, well-wishers, party leaders and officials and employees of the Prime Minister’s Office and Ganobhaban attended the Doa Mahfil.
A special munajat was offered seeking good health and long life of Sheikh Hasina.
Munajat was also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib and other martyrs of the August 15 carnage as well as peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.
Imam of Bangabandhu Smriti Jadughar Kwari Monir Hossain conducted the munajat.
Sheikh Hasina is now in New York on an eight-day official visit to attend the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
