The deadline for submitting holding tax and renewal of trade licence under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has been extended by three. During this period, surcharges won’t be applicable, reports UNB.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the DNCC said that considering the coronavirus situation, the deadline for taxpayers for the 2019-2020 fiscal year has been extended to September 30 without a 15 percent surcharge on holding tax dues.
At the same time, the deadline for traders to pay trade licence renewal fee without surcharge has been extended till the period.
DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam has urged the taxpayers to take the opportunity to renew their trade licenscs to pay dues holding tax during the period without any surcharge.
