Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Wari Zone Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ibrahim Khan has been suspended on charge of aided property grabbing for a sum of Tk one crore.
The directive was issued through a notification signed by the Home Ministry’s Public Safety Division Secretary Mostafa Kamal Uddin on Sunday
Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, who is a Bangladesh Civil Service Cadre of the 24th batch, has been suspended and attached to the Police Headquarters as per the Civil Service Act-2018, it said.
According to the notification, the Deputy Commissioner was suspended as per the regulations of the government service rules.
The suspension came to effect after an allegation surfaced against him stating that he had aided property grabbing for a sum of Tk one crore, said a source at the Home Ministry.
