Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) traffic department realised Tk 4,75,800 in fine and filed 2800 cases against the owners and drivers of the vehicles on charge of violating traffic rules and regulations in the city.
DMP collected this fined money and filed the cases in a drive on Sunday , DMP said on Monday.
A total of 40 vehicles were dumped and 344 vehicles were wrecker during the drive.
The cases were filed for violating traffic rules, driving on wrong side, using black glasses, sirens, beacons and hydraulic horn, the sources added.
