Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Saturday filed 4,230 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation.
It also realized over Taka 20.44 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation, said an official press release.
Of the total, 646 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 51 for using hydraulic horn, seven for using hotter and beckon light and nine others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1,691 cases against motorcycles and seized 50 others for violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 13 vehicles and wrecked 436 others.
