Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Monday filed 4,133 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation. It also realized around Taka 26.94 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 535 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 49 for using hydraulic horn, 10 for using hotter and beckon light and 19 others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1441 cases against motorcycles and seized 140 others for violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 45 vehicles and wrecked 780 others.
