Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Sunday filed 3,820 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation. It also realized around Taka 30.82 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation, said an official press release.
Of the total cases, 406 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 95 for using hydraulic horn, nine for using hotter and beckon light and 15 others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1235 cases against motorcycles and seized 117 others for violation of the traffic rules.
